Venta Care Centre

Given struggle of dealing with Covid, along with normal duties at anyLong Term Care Centre,,,Venta Care set's the Gold Standard.All staff have gone above and beyond to keep our loved ones safe.We are so lucky to have such a great place and great staff hereinEdmonton.Thank You.

Never returned our calls to make an appointment to view their facility. So dropped in while we were in the area. Not able to get a tour. Over a week and still no call back.

Its a wonderful place with caring nurses and staff.I do have as do alot of the tenants in there with the meals.They have gotten a little bad with the meals.My mom has been living there for over a year now.

My grandfather is placed in care here and I have to say that this place is excellent. The staff are friendly and very hardworking and the place itself is very clean; immaculate even.

Venta is the very welcoming place for senior citizens. They are also very cooperative and keeping you informed of your family members health. I would recommend this accommodation.

Very clean accommodations , staff very friendly and willing to help with any questions. Happy with immediate information given to us on any changes made our Aunts care. Overall very happy with care and concern given to our Aunt at this point in her life.

My dad, Lou LeClair was in the Venta Care Centre for a brief time following an operation on his hip and elbow in the Royal Alex. He was unable to walk but because of the high doses of medication, thought he was able to. It was a well known fact he couldn't walk and had to be strapped into his wheel chair whenever he sat in it because he would always try to walk. Also, his bed had an alarm and the side bar was supposed to be up whenever he was in bed. One night, the side arm was not put up and dad fell out of the bed and broke his femur. He had to be taken to U of A hosp. where it decided the shock of another operation was too hard for him. He went downhill from there and died Mar 4 2013.

My dad was a resident for 22 months. Good care.Overall, staff and management very good. Receiptionist (Kayla) is fantastic. Most HCA's, that were associated with 2200 nursing station were excellent. Staff were very communicative on providing updates and maintaining resident dignity. Dietician very involved with resident nutrition and consumption changes and regularly discussed changes needed.Food and Laundry services were good. The facility had trouble retaining hair salon provider and when there was an individual available, instructions were not followed. Not good results.Physio/OT department had inconsistencies - stories changed (head of dept in particular. Does not come across as sincere/professional). Jacki (OT dept) was always helpful tho.Cleanliness of facility - good. Nice to have several dining areas. Lots of entertainment and activities.Semi-Private rooms in new wings have a good set up with private bedrooms and shared bathrooms. Only saw a couple of rooms that had 2 beds.Overall would recommend this care center, in particular in one of the newer wings. Wider hallways, taller ceilings, etc.

The lady I visited appeared to be happy. Instead of having the entire facility locked down how about creating a locked down unit. Having a Receptionist would also create a welcoming atmosphere.From a previous Health Care Worker.
